Happy Valentine’s Day!!!
Every holiday, without fail, I make a little bucket of treats for my two favorite ladies in the entire world: my baby sisters. They definitely look forward to these little gifts and I have tons of fun making them.
Here is an easy gift idea for your Valentine. Grab a bucket or a mason jar and fill it with their favorite items. My sisters are tiny so they love crafts, nail polish and CANDY!
I found Valentine-inspired crafts, hearts and glitter glue (sorry mom!) and pretty pink buckets to put them in.
To finish off the gift I made little cards for the front of each bucket and you can print your own below! Originally I wanted to do mason jars with these cards glued on the front but I couldn’t jam all the stuff in them. Fail!
Don’t mind the blurriness here, I was trying to take pictures and watch The Bachelor all at once.
Here are the printables so you can grab your own love note for your Valentine! Just save the picture and print! They are 3 in x 4 in, and I suggest matting them for a finished look.
Please leave a comment and let me know what you think and who you plan to use your printable for!

Pinterest Wednesday? Is that you? Could it be, are we half way through the week already?! Christmas leaves me wanting to give and give and give, but it also (I am embarrassed to say) makes me want presents too! My husband tried to get me to exchange our gifts this weekend and I almost gave in! Ever since I (hesitantly) said no I have been eager to find out what is under the tree and I almost can’t handle keeping his gifts secrets either. So here is a lusty Pinterest Wednesday post filled with things I want. Right. Now.

I love my friends, I really do. They make me laugh like no one does, they support me, they cheer for me, and they allow me to share in their lives with them – I could not ask for better people in my life! This year I decided to show them how much I love them by making them small gifts to take home from our Fakesgiving celebration. Here is the tutorial on the sweet almonds I made, so easy you are going to love them! Be sure to make extra for yourself because they are snacksational!
Cinnamon Sweet Almonds
1 cup of sugar
3 cups of almonds (shelled)
1/2 tablespoon of cinnamon
1/4 cup of water
All you have to do is mix everything together in a sautee pan over medium heat. Don’t stop stirring until the sugar is crystallized! You will know when this happens – if this is the first time you have done something like this you may be unsure like me, but I promise, the minute it happens you will know! The syrupy-mixture stops looking like syrup and turns grainy.
Spread the almonds out on parchment paper to cool and try a few! They cool quickly, the biggest challenge will be not eating them all!
You can make these a few days in advance, just be sure to keep them in an airtight container. I split the almonds up in to 8 ounce jars (from The Container Store) and put the lids on to stop munching on them.
To make the jars look better cut burlap to fit over the lids and then a pretty ribbon to secure the fabric. Add a little tag with a holiday greeting or the receiver’s name and voila! instant stylish gift!
I had the best time making these and I was so happy with the final product. Tasty and cute – perfect for our friends! I will definitely be giving these gifts out again (Christmas is right around the corner!!).
